This was an incentive trip earned by Gord when he worked for Olivetti Canada in 1969. Two weeks in the Caribbian on the cruise ship Leonardo da vinci. We were only 24 years old and just bought our first house when we went on this trip. We had to rent or borrow most of our cloths and didn't have any credit cards.
Cuban Adventure - 2008
We spent the first week of our visit to Cuba with Ana & Pepe and their Cas Particular. For the following two weeks, we hooked up with a tour which took us the whole length of the Island. We stayed at a different hotel almost every night - 13 in total. It was an great learning experience.
Music City Tour - 2007
This tour took us from Branson, Missouri to Memphis, Tennessee, the home of Elvis Presley, then on to Nashville, Tennessee where the group recorded a record at RCA Studios. We were two of only four Canadians that were on this tour - the rest were Americans
Texas - 2003
When we were on the Amazing Grace cruise (below) we bid on a B&B in La Port, Texas hosted by Jeanne & Ron McElvogue. These are some of the pictures of our introduction to South Texas with our wonderful hosts and their family and friends.
Amazing Grace - 2002
This was our second trip on the Amazing Grace. She was a supply ship for the Windjammer tall ships and sailed between Trinidad and Freeport providing fuel and supplies for the sailing ships along the way. There were only 90 passengers on this "bare foot cruise" which made it very laid back. Joining us were our friends Dave and Sally Smith.
Malaysia - October, 2001
This was our first trip to Malaysia and we were joined by our friends, Mark and Donna Frobb from White Rock, BC. On this trip, we also visted Singapore and Hong Kong
